People come to Birthright because they are looking for change or have important goals to reach. They may be motivated to achieve specific outcomes: to write a book, to start a business, to have a healthier body - or they may want to explore and express their deepest purpose in life.
They come to be more effective or more satisfied at work. They collaborate and co-create with us because they want stable inner peace, greater clarity, order, focus, ease, and balance.
Sometimes, clients want more of something - relationships that satisfy, greater success, peace of mind, simplicity, or joy.
Sometimes, they want less - less confusion, stress, financial pressure, conflict, frustration, or pain.
In general, people come because they want a better quality of life - deeper fulfillment, greater awareness, true balance, and effective means for accomplishing their most cherished goals.
Our unique programs, seminars, workshops, and product offerings are a deep well of opportunity, and all are welcome to drink according to their capacity and motivation. Anyone who reads our blog, attends a weekend seminar, or downloads a resource, free or otherwise, we embrace as a member of our growing community.
The well of opportunity is open for all to drink, but for practical reasons, because our time is limited, we select coaching clients deliberately.
What makes an excellent candidate for one of our focused, transformative coaching programs?
Sound motivation and character are essential. A reasonable level of maturity is vital.
Curiosity about life, the self, meaning, and purpose are extremely useful.
Our optimum clients can be deeply curious. They ask powerful questions and do not settle for easy answers. They are open-minded and collaborative, willing to explore what we offer, taking what resonates for them and making it their own.
Our clients are self-honest, and they are honest with us. They consent to being accountable, and they expect us to be accountable as well.
Great clients live with passion and integrity. They are accessible, willing to look honestly at their goals as well as their received values and beliefs, open to investigating potentially limiting as well as empowering effects.
Our preferred clients are serious but not somber. We value playfulness as well as seriousness of purpose. Life is serious, but it does not need to be solemn. We have observed that too much seriousness makes it somewhat more difficult for clients to evolve, so our clients usually have a sense of humor and lightness about their lives. If lightness and humor are masked by pain or otherwise in short supply as we begin, expect them in abundance before we end.
Our most successful clients possess some courage, for not all of what arises in coaching is light or comfortable. The ability to tolerate reasonable discomfort is highly valuable. Lasting freedom and success requires both skill and sensible fortitude.
Our most favored clients are open to an increasing awareness of their own conditioning and are willing to work with it skillfully, expanding their engagement with life, moment to moment.
We value our coaching relationships and work well beyond the monetary and time exchange. We hold our clients in an honored place. We believe in them. We collaborate and co-create with them, supporting their individuality and their unique path to authentic, lasting success and happiness.
Must a coaching candidate exhibit most of these characteristics to be accepted into one of our transformative programs?
No. Successful coaching clients come to us from all walks of life and with varied life experience, skills, and motivation. Whether stuck, mired in frustration, or well along the path of success, if your motivation to evolve is sincere, you could be a candidate for profound and lasting change. The only way to know with certainty is to investigate the possibility.
